Description:
The project involves the research and development of a multisensor-based early causal diagnosis system and autonomous process recovery, focusing on creating measurement electronics, data infrastructure, machine learning model training, and integration with a physical machine.
Research and Development Service 5. Description of the subject of the contract 5.1. Stage I – Z1: measurement electronics, acquisition, firmware, and data infrastructure • participation in developing the architecture of a multichannel measurement path for force/resistance signals, actual filament feed, current/torque, vibrations, acoustics, temperature, and telemetry; • development/prototyping of input, conditioning, power supply, filtering, shielding, and channel synchronization paths; • development of firmware and low-level software enabling repeatable acquisition and time stamping; • support for validation of signal quality, interference, noise, transmission integrity, and EMC/pre-compliance; • preparation of software tools for recording, versioning, completeness control, and data export; • support for exploratory data analysis and preparation for further learning, without taking responsibility for Z1 in determining the physical cause and ground truth. 5.2. Stage II – Z3: support for learning and experimental validation of Rapid-Recognition • development and maintenance of a repeatable pipeline for data preparation, training, validation, and versioning of models; • support for comparison of time-domain, time-frequency, and learned sequence representations; • support for fusion of sensor channels and analysis of input channel removal; • training and optimization of agreed machine learning model families, including sequential/convolutional models, as per the UBOT research plan; • confidence calibration, handling of the "undecided" state, error analysis, and support for real-only vs real+synthetic experiments; • model optimization for later deployment on edge platforms, including profiling inference time and resource needs; • delivery of complete training scripts, configurations, models, weights, runtime environment, and reports enabling full reproducibility of results. 5.3. Stage III – Z4: transfer of Rapid-Recognition to the physical X1000U • development/prototyping of edge/DAQ electronics and integration with the physical X1000U machine; • porting of the frozen model and processing path to the target/prototype platform; • implementation of buffering, watchdogs, logging, data loss detection, and diagnostic mechanisms; • measurement and optimization of acquisition–processing–inference–result time; • experimental evaluation of resistance to disturbances from axes, drives, heaters, fans, and the electromagnetic environment; • development of an output interface transmitting cause class, confidence level, diagnosis time, and recommended reaction family to the executive layer. 5.4. Stage IV – Z5: executive electronics, firmware, and U-Change integration • development/prototyping of executive electronics for U-Change drives and mechanisms; • integration of presence, position, lock, material state sensors, and other safety interlocks; • development of firmware and control interfaces for the 10-position nozzle magazine mechanism and other reaction families; • support for implementing state automata, timeouts, safe states, self-verification, and logging; • integration of Rapid-Recognition → decision → executive reaction interface; • support for integration trials and bug fixing revealed during U-Change tests. 5.5. General requirements • A detailed work plan, research hypotheses, acceptance criteria for individual stages, and decisions on further work direction are defined by the Contracting Authority, who supervises the scientific and technical execution of the contract. • The example technologies, platforms, and tools referenced in the description of the contract are indicative. The Contracting Authority allows equivalent solutions that meet the functional requirements of the contract description. • Hardware elements necessary for prototype construction (electronic components, PCBs, sensors) may be provided by either the Contracting Authority or the Contractor — as agreed in the contract. The offer price includes all work and costs on the Contractor's side, except for elements explicitly indicated in the contract as supplied by the Contracting Authority. • The Contractor maintains ongoing documentation of the work and provides the Contracting Authority with reports for each stage, enabling demonstration of progress of the R&D work to the funding institution. Category: Service / Research services CPV: 71320000-7 Engineering services in design, 72200000-7 Software programming consultancy services, 73000000-2 Research and experimental development services and related consultancy services, 73100000-3 Research and experimental development services Place of performance: entire Poland Implementation period: 2027-07-01 – 2028-07-30 Implementation period: 2028-01-01 – 2028-11-30 Implementation period: 2029-01-01 – 2029-06-30 Implementation period: 2029-05-01 – 2029-10-31 Offer evaluation criteria: - The Contracting Authority will evaluate offers not subject to rejection based on a single criterion: Gross offer price (C) 100% (100 pts) C = (Cmin / Cb) × 100 pts, where: Cmin – lowest gross price among offers not subject to rejection; Cb – gross price of evaluated offer
