Selection Process for Individual Consultants No. 58D000141/SPS/PIDICHIM/2025 - Hiring of an Environmental Safeguards Specialist for the PROJECT INVESTING IN INCLUSIVE HUMAN CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT IN NORTHERN MOZAMBIQUE - NAMPULA PROVINCE



 




  1. Introduction



To address the challenges that the region faces and contribute to the stability and improvement of conditions for inclusive development, the World Bank is financing the “Project for Investing in Inclusive Human Capital Development in Northern Mozambique” to support the efforts of the Government of Mozambique to reduce inequalities and promote economic and social development in the region.



The Project Development Objective (PDO) is to improve inclusive access to effective basic social services in vulnerable districts at risk of conflict in Northern Mozambique.



There is a need to strengthen the Provincial Health Service of Nampula with additional and experienced staff to ensure more effective administration and support to the implementation of the various activities of the PIDICHNM. Therefore, it is intended to recruit an Environmental Safeguards Specialist to perform tasks in the Provincial Project Implementation Sub-Unit. 




  1. Objective



The main objective of the hiring is to assist the UIP at the provincial level regarding the implementation and monitoring of environmental mitigation and regulation work to be carried out under the Project
