A new tender from Energy Solution EPC SP. z o.o. for the design, manufacture and delivery of a complete battery energy storage system (BESS) sets a clear marker for how buyers now approach storage projects. The contract covers end-to-end provision of a system with defined power and capacity, backed by testing, documentation and warranty obligations and supported by an informational meeting on submission procedures. Taken together with a cluster of recent storage and renewable energy tenders across the region, the notice shows how BESS is moving from pilot technology to a standard element in energy, industrial and municipal infrastructure schemes.

Complete BESS package from a single supplier

Published on 6th October 2026, the Battery Energy Storage System Procurement contract notice from Energy Solution EPC SP. z o.o. seeks a contractor to design, manufacture and deliver a complete BESS meeting specific power and capacity requirements. The scope reaches beyond hardware supply to include necessary testing, production of documentation and the provision of a warranty.

The requirement for testing and documentation indicates a focus on verifiable performance and traceability, while the warranty element underlines the buyer's interest in long-term reliability. The tender also points bidders towards an informational meeting on submission procedures, signalling an effort to ensure compliant offers and a clear understanding of how proposals will be handled.

Storage embedded in renewable and efficiency projects

The BESS contract lands in a busy period for projects that combine generation, storage and energy management. In October 2026, Micro Wind Power Plant Installation plans from „SADEX” Spółka z ograniczoną odpowiedzialnością set out the design, supply, installation and commissioning of a vertical wind micro power plant with energy storage for a shot blasting chamber, coupled with comprehensive technical documentation and training. Storage in that scheme is integral to improving energy efficiency and process reliability.

Also in October 2026, MAX-POL Sp. z o.o. launched a Photovoltaic System Installation covering the supply and installation of a photovoltaic system with energy storage and an energy management system, with design, documentation and compliance with grid connection requirements all within scope. Argos s.c. K.Szarkowski, O.Koleśnik followed with its RES Installation Expansion in Krypno, a comprehensive contract for two photovoltaic installations with storage and management systems, plus construction, electrical works, integration and training.

Smaller schemes mirror these integrated demands. In September 2026, Ciepło Pyskowice Sp. z o.o. tendered for the Photovoltaic Installation Construction of a system with energy storage at a specific site, pairing detailed technical requirements with expectations on contractor qualifications and experience. Around the same time, POLFOOD LOGISTIC Sp. z o.o. launched a Renewable Energy Installation Project that combines a photovoltaic system with storage and management capabilities at a logistics facility.

Projects aimed at smaller loads also build storage into the brief. The contract from SERWIS HANDLOWO USŁUGOWY „ELEKTROTEAM” Spółka z ograniczoną odpowiedzialnością, published in October 2026, seeks delivery, installation and commissioning of a complete photovoltaic system up to 20 kW and an energy storage system with a minimum capacity of 50 kWh, with a single contractor responsible for device selection and system integration. Earlier, PANORAMA s.c. Leszek i Maria Staleńczyk went to market in September 2026 for a Photovoltaic Installation and Storage System using bifacial technology, with both storage and an energy management system tailored to the operational needs of a printing company.

Scaling from buildings to grid-level assets

Alongside building-level and industrial schemes, several notices focus on large-scale battery storage. On 6th October 2026, STPower Spółka z ograniczoną odpowiedzialnością issued an Electric Energy Storage Facility Project for the design-and-build of a storage facility with a minimum power of 39 MW and capacity of 165 MWh, including the infrastructure and connections needed to integrate it into the distribution network.

On the same date, JF ENERGIA DOBROŃ SPÓŁKA Z OGRANICZONĄ ODPOWIEDZIALNOŚCIĄ published its Battery Energy Storage System Project in Pabianice, covering design, construction and commissioning of a storage system with all necessary infrastructure and operation and maintenance services. Italmetal Sp. z o.o. added another dimension with its October 2026 Electric Energy Storage System Supply, which calls for two new storage units as part of a modular BESS system, alongside an energy management system and a hybrid control room.

Earlier in June 2026, ENEA Nowa Energia sp. z o.o. turned to the market for the Delivery of Energy Storage Components, a component-only contract intended to support assembly of BESS-type systems with a total capacity of 840 MWh across several provinces. TAURON BME8 sp. z o.o. echoed this focus on parts procurement in September 2026 with its Electrical Energy Storage System Components tender.

Large-scale procurement is not confined to one jurisdiction. In June 2026, Liechtensteinische Kraftwerke published a Battery Storage System Balzers notice for a grid-connected battery storage system of at least 25 MW / 50 MWh, including installation and commissioning. July 2026 brought SWE Energie GmbH's Battery Energy Storage System Construction with a preferred capacity of 20 MW and a minimum of 40 MWh, while in August 2026 Hamburger Wasserwerke GmbH went to market for a Battery Energy Storage System Construction project at a waterworks, centred on a 10 MWh battery system and associated infrastructure.

At a smaller but still strategic scale, PUB GAS s.r.o. issued a September 2026 contract notice for Battery Storage Supply for EV Charging, specifying a BESS between 1.2 MW and 1.54 MW capable of discharging for 2.5 to 3 hours at nominal power. This illustrates how storage is becoming a core enabler for electric vehicle charging hubs as well as for grids and industrial sites.

Public and social infrastructure joins the storage market

Battery storage is also appearing in tenders from public bodies and social infrastructure operators. In September 2026, Przedszkole nr 81 set out its requirements for an Electric Energy Storage System Installation at Kindergarten No. 81 in Warsaw, covering design, delivery, installation, commissioning and all necessary documentation and formal compliance.

Municipal and cooperative buyers are taking a similar route. The city of Bełchatów moved in June 2026 to procure Renewable Energy Systems Installation in residential buildings, including photovoltaic systems and heat pumps co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund. In September 2026, Zakład Komunikacji Miejskiej Zawiercie sp. z o.o. invited bids for a Photovoltaic Systems Installation Project for its facilities, bundling design, supply and installation of photovoltaic systems with energy storage, necessary upgrades, permits and staff training.

Energy cooperatives are also embedding storage into distributed schemes. In September 2026, „Spółdzielnia Energetyczna - Nasza Energia” tendered for Renewable Energy Systems Installation across multiple locations, with a strong emphasis on photovoltaic panels, inverters and energy storage solutions. The notice allows equivalent technical solutions provided they meet defined standards, opening space for a range of storage technologies and vendors.

What to watch next

Taken together, these procurements draw a clear picture of what buyers now expect from storage projects: integrated design and delivery, robust testing and documentation, long-term warranties and, in many cases, training and operation and maintenance support. The Battery Energy Storage System Procurement from Energy Solution EPC SP. z o.o. fits squarely within this pattern by demanding a complete system with clearly defined responsibilities for the supplier.

For manufacturers, system integrators and service providers, the current mix of tenders shows that both component supply and full engineering, procurement and construction models are in play, spanning everything from small building-level systems to multi-megawatt grid assets. The progress of the Energy Solution EPC procurement, alongside larger programmes such as ENEA Nowa Energia's component deliveries and utility-scale projects launched in June 2026 and July 2026, will be closely watched as indicators of how fast the storage market is standardising around repeatable BESS designs and contract structures.
