The Department for Education is engaging with suppliers in construction services to develop a programme focused on improving the condition and sustainability of educational buildings in England, including the procurement of strategic partners for various advisory and construction services.
**THIS PRIOR INFORMATION NOTICE IS TO NOTIFY SUPPLIERS OF AN UPCOMING MARKET ENGAGEMENT RELATED TO A POTENTIAL NEW PROGRAMME**. The Department for Education’s (DfE) Education Estates team is seeking engagement with suppliers in the construction services and construction works markets related to the development of a potential new programme. This programme would focus on the condition and sustainability of buildings across the Education Estate in England, working closely with those responsible for their estate (Local Authorities, Academy Trusts, Dioceses etc.). This programme is projected to include procurement of strategic, regional delivery partners who will provide construction technical advisory services related to school building condition, sustainability, project management, procurement services, technical and cost management and assurance services, architectural and design services, energy related services and building services. Subsequent procurements would be expected for construction works suppliers to deliver identified interventions, including the delivery of modular buildings on the Education Estate. The DfE team will be hosting an online market engagement session on 2 December at 15:00 GMT to share details on the scope of work required to support the programme and seek feedback on DfE’s approach. This will be followed by opportunities to ask questions. See the additional information for details on how to register your interest in attending the market engagement and for details on joining the CCS DPS Framework.
