Description:
The project aims to implement a 5G network ecosystem in Ústí nad Labem by integrating modern camera systems into public transport trolleybuses to enhance safety and situational awareness for the Municipal Police, including features for remote monitoring and emergency signaling.

The purpose of this above-threshold public procurement contract is to fulfill the set objectives and activities of the 5G Project through the delivery of selected elements of a demonstrative application of the 5G network ecosystem in the statutory city of Ústí nad Labem, in the form of a comprehensive technological ecosystem including, among other things, ensuring 5G connectivity, delivery and integration of modern camera systems into public transport trolleybuses, and the acquisition of necessary hardware and software enabling remote access to the vehicles' camera system.
Main goal of the project is the implementation of 5G technology to enhance situational awareness of the Municipal Police of Ústí nad Labem and the safety of public transport vehicle operations in Ústí nad Labem.
This will be achieved by equipping the interiors of the vehicles with modern camera systems, installing front overview cameras, and introducing other related safety technology elements into the trolleybuses.
A key element is ensuring the possibility of remote monitoring, i.e., accessing image data for the municipal police. The implementation of the project responds to the need to introduce effective measures to reduce the number of incidents and aggressive behavior of passengers in the public transport network of Ústí nad Labem, thereby enhancing the attractiveness of public transportation as an effective and safe mode of transport in the city. The project also positively contributes to increasing situational awareness around public transport vehicles.
The project plans for coverage of camera systems for real-time security monitoring in public transport vehicles. Monitoring will subsequently be ensured by the responsible units of the Municipal Police of Ústí nad Labem, which currently lacks the necessary and adequate tools for overseeing safety in public transport trolleybuses. The solution also includes the activation of emergency buttons that allow drivers of public transport vehicles to signal a risky situation and notify the municipal police about the need to access the monitoring using the camera system of the specific vehicle.

The performance of the public contract is co-financed through the 2nd call - Demonstrative application of the 5G network ecosystem for smart cities, municipalities, and regions announced within the component of the National Recovery Plan (1.4 Digital Economy and Society, innovative startups, and new technologies).
