Procurement of Battery Storage Systems

EWR_BESS1 - Battery Storage Systems.
The contractor will develop the concept for the construction of up to three "stand-alone" battery storage systems (7 MW) and procure all necessary permits, contracts, expert reports, as well as other documents, services, and all rights required for the construction and operation of a battery storage system. Subsequently, the contractor will supply and install the systems and provide comprehensive maintenance of the systems for a period of 10 years each.
For the BESS capacity of 7 MW, the client reserves the right to decide to commission either a 2-hour system (14 MWh) or a 3-hour system (21 MWh). Therefore, both execution variants must be fully offered.
The systems should be installed preferably within a period of 12 months after the contract award. The exact commissioning date will be subject to negotiation.
EWR GmbH reserves the right to transfer the partial contract for two of the up to three battery storage systems (7 MW) to other clients. Possible clients besides EWR GmbH may be Stadtwerke Remscheid GmbH or a cooperation of municipal utilities from the Bergisches Land region.
Locations for the up to three battery storage systems (7 MW) are planned within the city area of Remscheid.
