The Physics Laboratory of the Ecole Normale Supérieure (LPENS), a joint research unit of the ENS and the CNRS (UMR8023), is an interdisciplinary fundamental research laboratory, in physics and its interfaces, at the forefront of different aspects of dynamic quantum transport ranging from electronic quantum optics to cavity quantum electrodynamics.
The liquid helium-free dilution refrigerator equipped with a >5T magnetic field coil will be used for electronic transport experiments under illumination at very low temperatures.
To carry out these experiments, the system must be able to reach a base temperature of less than or equal to 30 mK, be equipped with a coil to apply a horizontal magnetic field >5T and have at least 4 optical accesses to illuminate the samples. In order to perform measurements with very low noise, a system must generate the minimum amount of vibration. The system must be designed to operate continuously for periods of more than 3 months.
Acquisition, delivery and installation of a liquid helium-free dilution cryostat for illumination electronic transport experiments on behalf of LPENS as well as the training of two future users.
