Supply contracts will be concluded for the purpose of purchasing laboratory equipment and devices within the project "Investments in the Infrastructure of the Microbiology Laboratory of the Miercurea Ciuc County Emergency Hospital". The general objective of the project is to make investments by equipping the pathological microbiology laboratory with high-performance equipment, featuring the latest technologies in the field that will significantly contribute to the accurate and timely establishment of cytological and histopathological diagnoses.

The necessity of the acquisition: the need for investments proposed in this project is justified, as purchasing medical equipment will enable the establishment of the microbiology laboratory and the medical services provided by the healthcare unit will improve significantly, ensuring that both medical and non-medical personnel carry out their activities efficiently, leading to considerable increases in productivity. The technologies available will allow for continuous training for medical and technical staff, ensuring efficient use of the new medical equipment. Updating knowledge and skills in using modern technologies. This call for projects dedicated to microbiology laboratories represents a funding opportunity for the Miercurea Ciuc County Hospital, as with the help of non-repayable funding, medical equipment can be purchased that will add value to the microbiology laboratory within the healthcare unit. Equipping the laboratory with high-performance equipment will facilitate the collection and analysis of epidemiological data, contributing to the identification and monitoring of infection outbreaks, allowing swift and effective interventions. Given that the laboratory is in the process of establishment, care will be taken to ensure it includes elements that will ensure the well-being of the staff within the unit.

The microbiology laboratory will function as a department within the medical analysis laboratory. To comply with legal requirements and to continually develop our unit, we intend to organize and equip the microbiology laboratory. The steps taken towards establishing the microbiology laboratory stem from the health approval of the unit, as well as from the employed specialists' team. In the health approval, the microbiology laboratory operates with the status of "in the process of organization". Furthermore, for the establishment of the microbiology laboratory, an authorization request has been submitted to the Public Health Department as provided in Annex 3 of the Order of the Minister of Health No. 1,030/2009 regarding the approval of sanitary regulation procedures for placement, arrangement, construction, and operation of objectives conducting activities that pose a risk to public health, with subsequent modifications and additions.
