Description:
Support is needed for developing and maintaining data warehousing solutions and architecture, along with improving development practices in the Päijät-Häme welfare area.

In the Päijät-Häme welfare area, data management has been developed for several years, and the maturity level has increased significantly. The organization has its own expertise in the areas targeted for procurement, but additional expert support is particularly needed for development and maintenance tasks. Additionally, support is sought for flexible resourcing as needed.

The procurement includes expert services for developing solutions and data foundations for data warehousing in data management, as well as related support. One of the development needs is a change or update related to data architecture, and the supplier must be able to support the welfare area as needed in changes to the architecture as well as in related planning and implementation.

Furthermore, we require assistance from the supplier to improve development practices, particularly concerning version control, management of release pipelines, and the development and implementation of other DevOps practices.

The procurement includes:

  • Expert services for developing and maintaining data pipelines and data foundations of the data management cloud platform
  • Expert services for managing components of the data management cloud platform, architecture, development, and support

The supplier is required to have expertise in several of the following technologies and data warehousing solutions and techniques, such as DevOps, SQL, Python, DataVault, medal architecture, Lakehouse, Databricks, Snowflake, WhereScape, data lake solutions, Azure environment, and Power BI. Additionally, we value expertise in data management methods and practices that support the development and utilization of data warehousing.

The estimated workload during the contract period is 1500 person-months, and potentially 750 person-months per year during a possible indefinite contract period. The order quantities do not bind the client but are estimates of the required workload.

The contract period is fixed for 24 months, after which it will continue indefinitely. The anticipated start date of the contract period is 1/2026.
