DESCRIPTION OF THE PROCUREMENT
This is not a preliminary announcement, request for proposals, procurement notice, or invitation to a negotiation procedure, and the publication of this notice does not initiate a tendering process. Any potential procurement notice and request for proposals will be published later. The request for information does not obligate the contracting entity to carry out the actual procurement. This request for information is aimed at mapping the market and obtaining information relevant to the procurement in the planning stage. The goal of this request for information is to gather insights on solutions, capabilities, and alternative implementation methods available in the market before any actual possible tendering.
The City of Helsinki describes the needs for maintenance services for artificial intelligence applications in this request for information. The city is developing various artificial intelligence applications, some of which will go into production and require maintenance. The platforms and technical environments of the applications vary on a case-by-case basis. The applications to be maintained may be based on machine learning or optimization, or utilize large language models.
The provider of maintenance services will keep the applications operational. Maintenance includes basic technical upkeep, including version updates of the libraries used. As part of the maintenance service, the Supplier will monitor and report on the application's operation. Monitoring the accuracy of AI models or other relevant metrics, data drift, and biases is part of the maintenance. Updates to AI models and any possible minor developments are also included in the maintenance. The subject of the procurement is described in detail in the attachment “H046-26 Maintenance of Artificial Intelligence Applications”.
