Description:
The Heilbronn municipal utilities GmbH seeks to upgrade its depot infrastructure by delivering and installing power supply and charging systems for battery buses, replacing its current diesel fleet in accordance with the Clean Vehicles Procurement Act.

The Heilbronn municipal utilities GmbH is a (mobility) service provider and infrastructure operator of the city of Heilbronn in the northern part of Baden-Württemberg. The Heilbronn transport companies operate the city bus and tram network in public transport (ÖPNV). A total of 12 city bus lines service the downtown area, all districts, and other communities in the surrounding region on a scheduled basis. On average, 65 buses transport around 17.3 million passengers per year. More than 200 employees ensure the safe and smooth transport of passengers. In accordance with the Clean Vehicles Procurement Act, the currently operated diesel buses of SWHN are to be gradually replaced by battery buses. To ensure the operation of these battery buses, the SWHN depot in Böckingen, Heilbronn needs to be upgraded with the appropriate infrastructure. The subject of this tender is the delivery and installation of the power supply and charging infrastructure needed for charging the battery buses of SWHN. The contracting authority intends to partially finance the services to be procured with funding.
