The sewage treatment plant in Bad Kissingen currently has a heat supply through a combined heat and power (CHP) unit and a heating boiler (both operable using biogas and natural gas). In the future, the CHP unit will only be operated at night when no PV electricity is available. The supply via natural gas will also be discontinued. To ensure heat supply in the future, a heat pump combined with a wastewater heat exchanger will be installed. For this purpose, an appropriate shaft for the wastewater heat exchanger will be constructed by the contractor, and the underground pipeline connections will be prepared. The contractor of this tender will subsequently install the heat pump and wastewater heat exchanger and connect them to the piping system. Additionally, pumps, fittings, and pressure compensation for the heating circuit between the heat pump and the wastewater heat exchanger will be created by the same contractor. Furthermore, a 4,000 l buffer storage, a fresh water station including a feed tank, and a pressure maintenance and conditioning station for the heating water will be established by the contractor of this tender. Demolition work and pipe construction in the heating cellar must also be carried out by the contractor. The extension of an existing sludge heat exchanger and the insulation of the newly constructed heating pipes will also be executed. The commissioning of the entire heating system will also be done by the contractor.
