The installation works include the following operations for the qualification “overhead installation”: • Mastery of installation plans, technical instructions, and safety regulations; • Work at height using climbing irons on the overhead line poles (without a ladder); • Pruning or cutting branches that hinder installation (possibly involving subcontractors); • Installing and moving gantries, clamps, pull covers, channels, crosspieces (cable reserves), junction boxes (BJ, ODF) and all related accessories; • Pulling cables alongside the overhead line poles; • Fixing cables in the fixing clamps to the gantries; • Fixing cable reserves on the crosspieces; • Identifying cables; • Introducing cables into buildings and placing channels. 2. The installation works include the following operations for the qualification “installation by blowing”: • Mastery of installation plans, technical instructions, and safety regulations; • Preparing the utility dossiers and police authorization; • Signage of the construction site; • Possibly installing trenches, inspection pits, or pulling pits; • Laying blow tubes in trenches; • Blowing optical fiber cables into the tubes; • Checking the sealing, continuity, and roundness of the tubes; • Validating the tube localization system; • Producing an As Built plan in accordance with the technical instructions of INFRABEL; • Identifying cables; • Introducing cables into buildings and placing channels.
