Supported by the Aberdeen City Region Deal, Nestrans is seeking to commission a study to identify and assess the scale, nature, and potential impact of transformational opportunities, focussing on the on the readiness and resilience of strategic transport infrastructure (and related infrastructure) in the North East of Scotland. These include major energy transition projects and other developments that enable the shift to a low-carbon economy and net zero targets, as well as sectors such as life sciences, digital, advanced manufacturing, and space launch where they impact transport networks and regional readiness. The study will build on existing regional economic and transport strategies, work in neighbouring regions and at a national scale, and align with national policy frameworks, including net zero targets, innovation and infrastructure plans, and inclusive growth objectives.
The research will inform future infrastructure investment, policy development, and delivery planning, ensuring alignment with national net zero targets, inclusive growth objectives, and innovation strategies.
Full details of requirements, evaluation criteria, and contractual conditions are provided in the Invitation to Tender (ITT) and associated appendices available via the PCS portal.
