The services are provided both on its own lines and on behalf of other transport companies. The RVK plans to establish a depot for hydrogen fuel cell and battery-electric buses as part of the construction project. The construction site of approximately 13,500 m² is located in Bensberg, a district of the city of Bergisch-Gladbach. The area is located east of the L195 Friedrich-Ebert-Straße and west of Steinhaus street.
On the premises, there will be a support structure with a hydrogen production plant, an office and administrative building with parking deck and inspection hall, 3 bus ports, a bus portal washing system, and the associated transport areas. The buildings of the depot cover an area of about 5,300 m², have a gross floor area of approximately 11,500 m², and a gross volume of about 39,950 m³.
The services proposed in the procurement package for the photovoltaic system mainly include the following services: Creation of a grid-connected photovoltaic system including a battery storage system and zero feed-in regulation according to VDE-AR-N 4110.
