BAT (Bornholm's Regional Traffic Company) is in the process of replacing the current diesel-powered buses with electric buses, of which some have already been purchased. It is expected that BAT will have 20 electric buses in operation by March 2026. BAT and Bornholm's Regional Municipality (hereafter “BRK”) therefore wish to establish a charging facility with 20 charging points for the electric buses. The purchase of the electric buses is not part of this tender.
The present tender concerns the supply, installation, and commissioning of charging points for charging the electric buses, as well as the supply and installation of lighting and the setup and installation of surveillance cameras. Furthermore, the tender includes all necessary electrical works between transformer stations and the Charging Points, as well as planning and execution of all excavation works necessary for the Charging Facility, including the establishment of pathways between the bus parking spaces and sidewalks at the Charging Facility. Lastly, the tender also includes operation and maintenance of the Charging Points, as well as software solutions for a period of four (4) years after the facility is handed over, with the possibility of extension for two (2) times one (1) year.
The Charging Facility will be located on a site at Industrivej 10, 3700 Rønne. The area has been prepared for the charging facility shortly before the tender, so existing orthophotos will not accurately reflect the conditions that the Contractor will encounter at the project's start-up. The site, which is currently used by BAT as a bus terminal, will continue to function as a bus terminal during the construction period, and the central bus stop, as can be seen on the orthophotos, will only be removed once the Charging Facility is complete. The driving area is gravel-surfaced, and this must remain the case in the finished Charging Facility.
In the tender documents, both the terms “Supplier” and “Contractor” are used. These terms are synonyms in this material and refer to the winning bidder with whom a contract will be made. Furthermore, please refer to the definition list in the Requirements Specification.
The work being tendered is described in more detail in the tender documents.
