The Verbandsgemeinde Südeifel, together with other tourism partners in the region, is planning the implementation of the project “Tourist Information of the Future” – Process Optimization and Digitalization in Südeifel and Gerolsteiner Land. The main focus is on process optimization and digitalization in Südeifel and Gerolsteiner Land. The following partners are involved: Felsenland Südeifel Tourismus GmbH, Touristik GmbH Gerolsteiner Land, Zweckverband Feriengebiet Bitburger Land, Tourist-Information Prüm/Verbandsgemeinde Prüm as well as Tourist-Information Islek/Verbandsgemeinde Arzfeld.

Shortages of skilled workers, rising personnel and operating costs, as well as strained municipal budgets, pose profound challenges for the tourism industry. At the same time, the expectations of guests are changing, with increasing demands for digital, service-oriented, and efficient offerings.

The objective of the tender is to fundamentally further develop the internal structures of the participating organizations. The focus is on the optimization and harmonization of processes, the establishment of a shared knowledge database for all involved partners, and the integration of AI tools into existing workflows to make them more efficient and future-proof. The shared knowledge base is intended to serve as a central information hub, consolidate resources, accelerate decision-making, and reduce costs.
