The object of the contract is part of the special services outlined in Annex IV of the LCSP, specifically within health or healthcare services for beneficiaries of the public healthcare system of the Autonomous Community of La Rioja. From this perspective, the contract is also included among the services that entail direct benefits to the citizens, as stipulated in article 312 of the LCSP. It consists of the service for conducting robotic ophthalmological diagnostic tests using artificial intelligence, in accordance with the details described in the Technical Specifications that govern the contract. These diagnostic tests are additional and prior to those conducted by the ophthalmologists of SERIS. The purpose of the contract, as stated, is to help avoid an imbalance between patient needs and the resources of SERIS, enhancing the integration of medicine with the latest technologies based on scientific evidence and a medicine that values genuine doctor-patient communication. Through this contract, physicians are equipped with innovative technology based on artificial intelligence for better and faster diagnosis, and this system, which frees them from mechanical tasks, provides them time for greater communication with the patient. The service will be provided by the contracting company at SERIS facilities with resources both human and material provided by the contractor, in accordance with the details described in the Technical Specifications that govern the contract.
