Artificial Intelligence (AI) has experienced rapid growth in recent years, creating new opportunities for public administration at the municipal level: processes can not only be designed more efficiently but also fundamentally rethought, services can be conceived in a user-centered manner, and internal workflows can be effectively supported. The project 'Utilization and Scaling of AI Base Services' involves the procurement of a framework contract for an AI platform for Zurich municipalities/cities, which provides a basic portfolio of AI applications to support internal administrative work.
With the joint procurement of an AI platform, existing synergies within the egovpartner network will be systematically utilized, multiple developments will be avoided, and access to AI technology will also be enabled for smaller and medium-sized municipalities. This allows resources to be pooled and experiences to be shared. Additionally, the labor-intensive (data protection) legal and IT security clarifications can be conducted centrally.
