Artificial Intelligence (AI) has experienced rapid growth in recent years and offers new opportunities for public administration at the municipal level: processes can not only be designed more efficiently but can also be fundamentally rethought, services can be conceived more user-centered, and internal workflows can be specifically supported. With the project 'Utilization and Scaling of AI Core Services', a framework contract for an AI platform for Zurich municipalities/cities is being procured, which provides a basic portfolio of AI applications to support internal administrative work.
By jointly procuring an AI platform, existing synergies in the egovpartner network should be consistently utilized, duplicate developments avoided, and access to AI technology should also be enabled for smaller and medium-sized municipalities. This allows resources to be pooled and experiences to be exchanged. In addition, complex (data protection) legal and IT security clarifications can be carried out centrally.
