As part of the Store2REPower project funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), DLR conducts liquid salt heater tests with the existing test facility for thermal energy storage in molten salts (TESIS:store – short "TESIS") at the location. To carry out the tests, the TESIS facility (see Figure 1, left) will be expanded with a new test platform "TESIS:store.extended" (see Figure 1, right). For the Store2REPower project, a test setup with liquid salt electric heaters will be installed and tested in the test platform. The tests are planned for a period of approximately 120 days.
This performance description refers to the prefabrication, delivery, assembly, and insulation of a piping system for liquid salt lines. Furthermore, additional services related to interfaces, equipment setup, and EMSR technology, as well as adaptation work at the interface to the existing system and within the existing facility (TESIS), must be provided.
