Additionally, a service/maintenance contract as well as a software maintenance contract with a duration of 10 years is required. The system must be designed to meet the necessary performance capabilities for conducting high-resolution breast imaging in 2D and 3D and for carrying out interventions in the form of breast biopsies, and it must be approved as a medical device under MDR. The imaging techniques implemented with the system in 2D and 3D and the methods and functions for dose reduction must comply with the latest developments in medical technology. In light of the new construction of the central hospital, which is planned to be operational by early 2029, this procurement procedure serves for the early replacement of the X-ray system for mammography with accessories, with the installation of the system at the Emden location. The later relocation of the system to the new building of the central hospital is also part of the procurement notice.
