The Physics Laboratory of the École Normale Supérieure (LPENS), a joint research unit of the ENS and the CNRS (UMR8023), is an interdisciplinary fundamental research laboratory, in physics and its interfaces, at the forefront of different aspects of dynamic quantum transport ranging from electronic quantum optics to cavity quantum electrodynamics.
The purpose of this contract is the acquisition, delivery and installation of a dilution cryostat for quantum circuit manipulation experiments within the LPENS as well as the training of two future users.
This cryostat should make it possible to cool microwave (~10 GHz) measurements at very low temperatures (30 mK) of carbon nanotube-based devices to manipulate the spin of an electron in order to implement quantum gates.
