The main objective of the DANUBIUS-RO project is the construction, equipping, and operationalization of the Romanian components of the pan-European distributed research infrastructure. The purpose of this contract is to expand the research capabilities of INCDSB - Murighiol Research Center with equipment capable of providing critical information regarding the biodiversity of the Romanian section of the Danube-Danube Delta-Black Sea system and to generate data for conducting medium- and long-term statistical studies on the evolution of biodiversity and its role in the natural regulation mechanisms of trophic chains.

Acquisition of an integrated system of electron microscopy equipment and accessories: Transmission Electron Microscope (HR-TEM), Scanning Electron Microscope System with integrated 3D reconstruction system (HR-SEM).
To achieve the indicators assumed by the DANUBIUS-RO project and carry out the activities planned with obtaining the results assumed by the funding request code SMIS 304273, the contracting authority is interested in acquiring an integrated system of electron microscopy equipment and accessories: Transmission Electron Microscope (HR-TEM), Scanning Electron Microscope System with integrated 3D reconstruction system (HR-SEM), installation, commissioning, training, and post-delivery service during the warranty period: 1. High-resolution Scanning and Transmission Electron Microscope (S/TEM) with STEM imaging, automated tomography, single particle analysis, and structural compositional analysis – 1 unit; 2. High-resolution Scanning Electron Microscope with 3D imaging (3D-SEM) and compositional analysis, with an incorporated ultramicrotome, for investigating biological samples – 1 unit; 3. Liquid nitrogen generator, to cover the liquid nitrogen required for cryopreservation of biological samples and operation of the cryomicroscopy equipment – 1 unit; 4. High-purity gas nitrogen generator for operating electronic microscopes – 1 unit; 5. Digital multimeter – 1 unit.
