Description:
Bornholm's Regional Transport Company is seeking a contractor for the supply, installation, and operation of a charging facility with 20 charging points for electric buses, including necessary electrical work, lighting, video surveillance, and maintenance for a four-year period.

BAT (Bornholm's Regional Transport Company) is in the process of replacing the current fossil-fueled buses with electric buses, some of which have already been purchased. It is expected that BAT will have 20 electric buses in operation by Q2 2026. Therefore, BAT and Bornholm's Regional Municipality (hereinafter referred to as “BRK”) wish to establish a charging facility with 20 charging points for the electric buses. The actual procurement of the electric buses is not part of this tender.

Naturally, this tender is a re-tender and concerns the supply, installation, and commissioning of charging points for charging the electric buses, as well as the supply and installation of lighting and the setup and installation of video surveillance. Additionally, the tender covers all necessary electrical work between transformer stations and the charging points, as well as planning and execution of all excavation work necessary for the charging facility, including the establishment of pathways between the bus parking lots and sidewalks at the charging facility. Finally, the tender also includes the operation and maintenance of the charging points and a software solution for a 4-year period after the facility is handed over, with the possibility of extension for two (2) times one (1) year.

The charging facility will be located on a plot at Industrivej 10, 3700 Rønne. The area has been prepared for the charging facility shortly before the tender, which is why existing orthophotos will not be representative of the conditions that the Contractor will encounter at the start of the project. The plot, which is currently used by BAT as a bus terminal, will continue to operate as a bus terminal during the construction period, and the central bus stop visible in the orthophotos will only be removed when the charging facility is completed. The roadway is gravel-covered, and this must continue to be the case in the completed charging facility.

In the tender documents, the terms “Supplier” and “Contractor” are used interchangeably. These terms are synonyms in this material and refer to the successful bidder, as well as their subcontractors with whom a contract is entered. Furthermore, reference is made to the definition list in the Requirements Specification.

The tendered work is described in more detail in the tender documents.
