An integrated WebApp is to be developed for the zdi.NRW initiative, featuring modules for system administration, data monitoring, AI analysis, and user interface management, along with software development, training, and optional maintenance services.

matrix GmbH & Co. KG (short: matrix) has been supporting the implementation of the joint initiative Future through Innovation.NRW (short: zdi.NRW; https://www.zdi-portal.de/) for several years. With over 5,000 partnerships with stakeholders from the fields of science, industry, education, politics, and society, zdi.NRW is the largest network in Europe for promoting STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) talent. zdi services are available across all districts and independent cities in NRW. Over 100 student labs offer children, young people, and young adults space to experience Mathematics, Computer Science, Natural Sciences, and Technology (short: STEM), pursue their enthusiasm for STEM, and learn about STEM training and degree programs.
matrix intends to procure the following within the framework of zdi.NRW:
A containerized WebApp (PWA) is to be developed, which will include the following modules:
SystemAdmin / RBAC · Contact Database · Monitoring Data Collection · zdi-Monitor (Dashboard) · DataLab (AI Analysis) · Link Cockpit with SSO (IdP according to SAML 2.0 or OIDC) The software will be awarded as a fixed-price service (MVP + Beta).
Software development including source code & documentation (DE/EN)
CI/CD pipeline (GitHub / GitLab) + automated tests (Jest, Playwright)
Training (Admin & Key Users, each ½ day, remote)
Monitoring Tool, zdi-Monitor, zdi-Data-Lab – Monitoring Data Collection, KPI Visualization, Interface to Language Model (GUI + API Proxy). Details see performance description.
Optional service: Release 1.0 and Maintenance & Support – Response time ≤ 8 hours (on weekdays)
No costs will be reimbursed to bidders for the preparation of the offer and participation in this tender!
