The scope of the EPC for the Variscourt Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project includes engineering, procurement of all equipment, construction, and operation and maintenance (O&M).

The EPC must address the engineering scope, where it will need to produce detailed execution plans for all components of the Power Plant. It must also fulfill the construction scope, which will include total or partial site preparation, the supply and installation of control and command equipment, and where applicable, DC during the execution phase, while ensuring supply chain management, their installation on site, and their connection.
The EPC must also address the O&M scope. The operation and maintenance of the site will be based on an estimated duration of 20 years during which the client can decide to terminate the contract for convenience and without charge. The provider must take into account all the technical characteristics of the project related to the implementation phase. During the term of this contract, the provider will receive an annual flat fee based on its pricing offer that will include: Operation, supervision, and safety of the site; Preventive maintenance of AC and DC equipment; Corrective maintenance of AC and DC equipment; Warranty management and regulatory checks; Relationship with EDF Power Solutions and the network manager; Maintenance of battery performance: availability, SOH, RTE, auxiliary consumption.
EDF Power Solutions reserves the option to withdraw services related to DC and/or AC equipment in Execution and/or O&M at the time of consultation.
