The public procurement contract for the supply of buses and charging stations envisages the purchase of 22 new buses with electric propulsion system with a length of approx. 12m (solo), 22 slow charging stations and 8 fast charging stations, for which the contracting authority requested non-reimbursable financing according to the Financing Agreement no.135290 / 28.11.2022 within the project "MOdernization of the TRansportpublIC bus system in the Craiova Metropolitan area - MOTRIC Metropolitan", PNRR, Component 10 - Local Fund investment I.1.1 - Renewal of the fleet of vehicles for public transport (purchase of clean vehicles), I.1.3- ensuring infrastructure for green transport – electric vehicle recharging points, Call title: PNRR/2022/C10/I.1.1, PNRR/2022/C10/I1.3, Round 1.
The overall objective of the project is to improve the efficiency of public passenger transport, its frequency and journey times, the transfer to it from private transport by car.
Specific objective to which the supply of products contributes
• Increasing the attractiveness of public transport and the percentage of use of this mode of transport, within the modal distribution of journeys, by increasing the commercial speed of movement of public transport vehicles
• Reducing the number of accidents and increasing road safety for all road users: drivers, cyclists, pedestrians
• Reducing GHG emissions
• Reducing pollution, including noise, due to urban traffic
• Promoting urban public transport as an alternative solution to personal vehicle use, to ensure citizens' access to work, service providers and other points of interest
• Making public transport more efficient by reducing travel times, as well as by increasing the number of users
• Increasing citizens' accessibility to points of interest in Craiova
• Reducing real travel expenses and time spent in urban traffic jams.
Increasing the quality of life of the citizens of Craiova.
The modification of the contract, during its validity period, is made under the conditions provided in art.221 of Law nr. 98/2016, as subsequently amended and supplemented.
The modification of the contract during its validity period, otherwise than in the cases and conditions provided in Article 221 of Law no. 98/2016, as subsequently amended and supplemented, shall be made by organizing a new award procedure, in accordance with the provisions of the law.
Deadlines for submitting/responding to requests for clarifications/additional information:
A. In accordance with the provisions of Article 160 para. (1) of Law no. 98/2016 as subsequently amended and supplemented, the deadline by which any interested economic operator has the right to request clarifications or additional information in relation to the tender documentation is 18 days before the deadline for submission of tenders.
B. . In accordance with the provisions of Article 160 para. (2) of Law no. 98/2016 as subsequently amended and supplemented, will respond clearly and completely to all requests for clarification / additional information on the 11th day before the deadline of the offers by a consolidated response, to the extent that they are addressed within the deadline set in the participation notice.

Acquisition of 22 new electric passenger buses, operable under lowland conditions, 22 slow charging stations and 8 fast charging stations through the project "Modernization of the Bus Transport System in the Craiova Metropolitan Area / MOTRIC Metropolitan", PNRR, Component 10 – Local Fund Investment I.1.1 – The renewal of the fleet of vehicles for public transport (purchase of clean vehicles) will be carried out according to the requirements of the specification no. 17828/01.02.2024, and the technical documentation made available in the tender documentation.
By purchasing buses and charging stations, the contracting authority - Craiova aims to increase the attractiveness and efficiency of the local public transport system in Craiova and the Metropolitan area, by implementing integrated measures aimed at improving public passenger transport by bus and discouraging the use of private transport, respectively, encouraging the use of alternative transport, giving up cars personal data and implicitly to reduce polluting emissions.
The purchase of new electric buses will contribute to improving the efficiency of public passenger transport in Craiova and the Metropolitan area, its frequency and journey times, accessibility and transfer to it from private transport.
The technical characteristics for the buses and charging stations to be purchased are those provided in the Centralizer minimum and maximum technical parameters and extended technical specifications, which are annexes to the Specification nr. 17828/01.02.2024
