The services required involve the technical integration of existing research platforms and the interoperable networking of radiological and pathological data spaces to establish a nationwide digital pathology research infrastructure.

The scope of services includes the technical integration of existing research platforms as well as the interoperable networking of radiological and pathological data spaces within a nationwide research infrastructure for digital pathology. For the establishment and sustainable operation of the research infrastructure, an independent service area is required that enables the technical merging of already existing research platforms, image data infrastructures, and data spaces. The objective of the services to be procured is the development of interoperable integration components that connect existing radiological and pathological systems as well as already established research platforms via standardized interfaces and support their joint use within a nationwide research infrastructure. From the perspective of the University Hospital, the current demand can only be met by one market participant. To verify this assumption, this market survey is conducted. The contracting authority reserves the right to take further procurement law steps.

The services to be procured must in particular meet the following professional and technical requirements: - The integration solution must enable interoperable networking of existing radiological and pathological research platforms. - The integration solution must support the merging of radiological image data, digital whole-slide images, and structured medical metadata within joint research environments. - The integration solution must connect existing research platforms using standardized interfaces without fundamentally changing their existing system architecture. - The integration solution must allow joint use of existing components within cross-location research networks. - The integration solution must support the extension of existing research platforms through additional modules and services. - The integration solution must provide standardized DICOM- and HL7-FHIR-based interfaces for interoperable communication between existing platforms. - The integration solution must enable standardized linking of radiological image data with whole-slide images and structured research data. - The integration solution must provide open and documented software components that support sustainable extension of existing research platforms. - The integration solution must be able to interoperably integrate existing research data infrastructures as well as established open-source components. - The integration solution must support standardized procedures for synchronization of structured metadata between different platforms. - The integration solution must enable long-term further development of existing research platforms without restricting their existing functionality. - The provided components must be maintainable, documented, and sustainably further developable in the long term. - The integration solution must be based on established open standards and support their future development. - The integration solution must enable continuous integration of further research platforms, data spaces, and software components within the nationwide research infrastructure. - The provided components must support sustainable technical networking of existing research infrastructures and enable their interoperable expansion. - The integration solution must provide standardized interoperability interfaces that allow application and integration of AI modules on pathological image data as well as associated medical metadata.
