Description:
Implementation of a 5G communication system to optimize traffic signals for emergency vehicles, enhancing response times and safety at intersections.

The subject of the public procurement is the implementation of a system primarily utilizing modern communication technologies in the form of 5G networks, ensuring timely, safe, and accessible service for the passage of emergency vehicles consisting of 10 vehicles from the Fire Rescue Service, 5 vehicles from the Central Bohemian Emergency Medical Service, and 10 vehicles from the Kladno Municipal Police (of which 1 vehicle is for testing at selected intersections in the city of Kladno). The aim of the proposed measures is to optimize the timing of signal plans at traffic signal devices through modern traffic management telematics systems and 5G communication, ensuring preferential passage for emergency vehicles. This solution will not only reduce response times to the incident location but will also contribute to increased safety for all road users, as it will eliminate traffic through intersections on 'stop' signals - red. Further information is part of the technical specification, which constitutes Appendix No. 1 of the Binding Template Contract (part of Appendix No. 4 of the procurement documentation).
