The subject of this public procurement includes whole genome sequencing with long reads (Long-read WGS) using Oxford Nanopore (ONT) technology, in two positions for the execution of activities of research groups NIG 3.1.9 and NIG 3.1.10 and small projects MP3 and MP4.
(- Name of the project for NIG 3.1.9 “Towards personalized medicine for rare neurological diseases: Multi-omics approach” for 60 samples;
- Name of the project for NIG 3.1.10 “Longitudinal monitoring of individuals in the pre-dementia phase of neurodegenerative diseases aimed at determining a prognostic biomarker profile and benefits from the application of multimodal preventive intervention.” for 15 samples;
- Name of the small project MP3 “Biomarkers for early diagnosis, differential diagnosis and clinical profile in intracranial atherosclerotic disease (IAB)” for 23 samples;
- Name of the small project MP4 “Genotype, phenotype, and proteotype correlations in rare neurodegenerative diseases with cognitive and behavioral disorders” for 32 samples.
All of these are in the implementation of project BG-RRP-2.004-0004-C01: “Strategic Research and Innovation Program for the Development of Medical University – Sofia”, funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.).
The forecasted quantity of the necessary research and the minimum technical requirements are described in detail in the Technical Specification attached to the documentation.
Everywhere in the Technical Specification and/or in other documents of the procedure where a specific model, source, or specific process is mentioned that characterizes the products offered by a particular potential contractor, as well as trade mark, patent, type, or specific origin or production that could lead to the advantage or elimination of certain persons or some products, it should be read “or equivalent/s”. The quantities are forecasts and do not bind the contracting authority to award them in maximum volume.
In the case of providing an equivalent, the Participant must prove by suitable means that the proposed solutions meet the requirements set out by the technical specification in an equivalent manner. A guarantee of 5% of the contract value is required for the execution of the contract.
