Description:
National Grid seeks a comprehensive EV charging infrastructure solution that includes supply, design, installation, commissioning, maintenance, and back-office support for managing connectivity and payments.
National Grid has a requirement for an effective, compliant and maintainable EV charging infrastructure that covers supply, design participation, installation, commissioning, warranty, on‑site support and ongoing maintenance, together with a dedicated back‑office delivery system to manage connectivity, payments, user support and MI/reporting.
The solution must enable safe, reliable and auditable charging for National Grid vehicles and users across a range of site types (substations and offices) and support efficient operational handover between installation and back‑office teams.
Civils, installation and supply of AC & DC chargers
Civils, installation and supply of AC & DC chargers
Participate in the design for each site​
Supply all hardware, cable and switchgear associated with the installations​
Appoint a panel of subcontractors​
Install the charge points, cabling and switchgear​
Commissioning: powerup and test the chargepoints​
Provide warranties on the hardware and installation​
Hand over the charge points to the Lot 3 provider for onboarding to a private cloud​
Provide on-site support
Mobile DC Chargers
The supply of Mobile DC chargers
System operating platform and annual / reactive maintenance
System operating platform and annual / reactive maintenance
Back office support:
Create a dedicated instance of the delivery system in a private cloud​
Install connectivity (SIM)​
Commission chargers​
Provide day to day remote support to users and charge points​
Provide RFID cards if required​
Collect payments for charging and return monies to National Grid​
Ensure that where onsite support is required, an engineer is deployed​
Provide MI to National Grid to enable measurement of KPIs and SLAs​
Provide on site support and maintenance
