ITS4CULTURE 2025 - Digitalization of Traffic Technology with the Help of C-ITS Solutions.
As part of the funding project ITS4Culture, a comprehensive use of digital technologies and the implementation of the following main goals are pursued: prioritization of public transportation and emergency vehicles, establishment of a GLOSA service, dispatching of danger alerts, determination, visualization, and provision of travel times. To achieve these goals, it is necessary to extend and upgrade the infrastructure so that it can send, receive, and process C-ITS messages. This includes modernizing the control devices of traffic signal systems (LSA) and equipping them with Road-Side Units (RSUs), as well as extending and adapting the controls. In the context of the funding initiative, the implementation of the aforementioned goals aims to cover a total of 39 traffic signal systems (LSA). For communication between the infrastructure (LSA) and vehicle (buses of line 82), 20 vehicles are to be equipped with On Board Units. This is part of the funding program of the Federal Ministry of Digital and Transport, digitalization of municipal traffic systems, prioritization of public transportation and emergency vehicles.
