SUBJECT OF THE PUBLIC PROCUREMENT: "CREATION OF GREEN INFRASTRUCTURE IN URBAN ENVIRONMENT TO REDUCE SECONDARY DUST EMISSION AND AIR POLLUTION IN ASENOVGRAD MUNICIPALITY" IN THREE SEPARATE LOTS, AS FOLLOWS:
Lot No. 1: Street Greening;
Lot No. 2: Greening of public open-access spaces and areas for wide public use;
Lot No. 3: Greening of inter-block spaces;
The subject of this procurement is the execution of greening in selected areas of Asenovgrad, according to approved dendrological afforestation plans, construction of irrigation systems, as well as measures for capturing vegetation. The following types of main activities are included in the subject of the procurement: soil preparation of the areas to be landscaped, planting and maintenance of planted vegetation according to the approved specification, sodding, and construction of irrigation systems, including warranty maintenance of the vegetation for a period of 24 months after the completion of activities included in the subject of the respective separate lot. The contract is awarded in connection with the preparation for the execution of the activities planned within the project proposal of Asenovgrad Municipality for the provision of grant funding for specific beneficiaries under Procedure for direct grant funding BG16FFPR002-5.008 “Green measures in urban environment” under priority 5 “Air” of the “Environment” Program 2021-2027. The purpose of the procedure is to contribute to improving air quality (AQI) by reducing exceeded levels of fine particulate matter (PM10) in areas with improved air quality classified by this indicator for the period 2017-2021. The planned measures include the execution of greening with tree species and shrub vegetation as well as sodding along busy urban streets/avenues; public open-access spaces, municipal property, designated as green areas (including urban parks, gardens, and inter-block spaces). The implementation of activities in the construction of green infrastructure to reduce secondary dust emissions should be carried out in accordance with the documents included in the package “Recommendations for green measures in urban environment to reduce secondary dust emissions,” published at https://www.eufunds.bg/bg/opos/node/10500, including taking into account the specifics stated in the document. The scope of the commitment also includes the construction of irrigation systems in the areas designated for landscaping, where applicable. The scope of activities is in accordance with the Technical documents, annex to the participant documentation for each of the separate lots.
