The subject of the tender is the delivery, construction, assembly, and commissioning of a hydrogen storage unit and a hydrogen combined heat and power plant (hydrogen CHP) for the utilization of locally produced hydrogen, as well as the instruction in the operation of the systems.

Delivery of a hydrogen storage unit and a hydrogen combined heat and power plant.
TU Clausthal plans to expand the hydrogen-related research infrastructure of the Research Center for Energy Storage Technologies (EST) at the property located at Stollen 19A in 38640 Goslar. This includes the utilization of locally generated renewable electrical energy from photovoltaics for an existing large-scale electrolysis plant, the local use of the produced green hydrogen, and the networking of research and infrastructure facilities. This creates a system for the development and testing of components as well as the research of the system behavior in combined electrical, material, and thermal energy coupling in real operation. The project is being carried out by the State Building Management of Southern Lower Saxony (SBSN) on behalf of TU Clausthal.
