Derbyshire Constabulary is exploring options for an Employee Assistance Programme that offers confidential support services to employees and their families, and is gathering information from the market to develop a business case for potential procurement.
Derbyshire Constabulary is currently looking into the available options for our Employee Assistance Programme. This contract will fall under our Occupational and Health and Wellbeing department. Employee Assistance Programmes (EAP) are employee benefit programmes that offer employees a safe space to discuss any of their personal or professional challenges that may negatively impact their work performance and mental health. EAPs provide a free, independent, and confidential service for employees and their immediate families that includes, short-term counselling, legal advice, and financial guidance. Derbyshire Constabulary are now assessing available options so that a business case can be created to move the procurement forwards. To inform the business case, we are reaching out with this Request for Information [RFI] to the market to carry out a full review of existing EAP providers. If the business case is approved, a compliant procurement route will be taken in line with the Procurement Act 2023.
