acatech – German Academy of Science and Engineering advises politics and society on technology
scientific and technological policy issues of the future.
Artificial intelligence (AI) is a key technology and is changing both daily life and
intensifies global competition. Therefore, the aim of the research and funding project MISSION KI as a
National Initiative for Artificial Intelligence and Data Economya strong basis for marketable and
AI applications oriented towards the common good.
MISSION KI pursues three goals: the project aims to expand the database for AI innovations and to

Type and scope of service:
The object of the contract is the implementation of a concept for the construction and operation of at least one
Innovation and Quality Center (IQZ). The centres stand for development and growth
trustworthy, marketable AI, especially for AI quality and testing.
The service is awarded as a framework contract without a call-off obligation.
The framework agreement is to be concluded with three service providers.
With the award of the contract, the bidder with the most economical bid will be directly involved in the construction and operation of a
IQZs at the Berlin location for at least 7 months (incl. opening event) and the creation of a stele
and an exhibit for an existing showroom in Kaiserslautern.
The aim is to open IQZ Berlin in December 2024.
The showroom in Kaiserslautern will open on 01.02.2025. For this purpose, the service provider must provide a stele and
create an exhibit (section 3.2).
The scope of the services results from the following service description as well as the

The other services of this framework agreement will be commissioned if the actual need of the
contracting authority by individual call-off after conducting a "mini-competition" among the three service providers,
the details of which can be found in § 4 Individual call-off, commissioning of Anlage_5_Vertrag the
framework agreement. The contractors are not entitled to the issuance of a
several individual orders.
