The subject of the procurement is mammography screening studies for the Central Ostrobothnia Well-Being District Soite, in order to organize mammography-based breast cancer screening in accordance with the Government Decree (339/2011) in the municipalities of Kokkola, Kaustinen, Halsua, Perho, Veteli, Kannus, Lestijärvi, and Toholampi. The service is procured for residents of the Soite area in certain age groups, following the guidelines of the THL and the Finnish Cancer Registry. The screening concerns the age groups scheduled according to the screening program.

The procurement is divided into two (2) areas:

1. Mammography screening studies, clinical mammography studies, and clinical breast ultrasound studies in the Kokkola area.

Clinical studies include mammography, breast ultrasound, and if necessary, biopsies based on the doctor's assessment. Residents of the Lestijokilaakso and Perhonjokilaakso municipalities will come to Kokkola for clinical mammography and ultrasound studies.

2. Mammography screening studies in the Kannus - Tunkkari area.

The studies will take place in Kannus for residents of the Lestijokilaakso municipalities and in Tunkkari for residents of the Perhonjokilaakso municipalities. Possible confirmatory studies may also be conducted in Kokkola in addition to the screening location.

The provider may submit a offer for one or both areas. The contracting authority is not committed to purchasing any minimum quantity of services from the provider.
