Description:
Data will be collected on the quality of aquatic environments at selected European significant sites with species protection objects related to standing waters through annual sampling of physical-chemical parameters and biological components over the period of 2026 to 2028.

The subject of the public procurement is to provide data regarding the quality of the aquatic environment of selected European significant sites with species protection objects related to standing waters, which are part of the Register of Protected Areas established according to the requirements of the European Parliament and Council Directive 2000/60/EC, which sets the framework for the Community's action in the field of water policy (the so-called "Water Framework Directive"). For each European significant site, one cycle of annual sampling of physical-chemical parameters and biological components (zooplankton) will be ensured during the period 2026 – 2028 on established profiles in accordance with the "Monitoring Methodology for Protected Areas Defined for the Protection of Habitats and Species Related to Water" (Janovská et al. 2020), with the exception of the frequency of sampling of physical-chemical parameters, which will be conducted in all locations from March to October at monthly intervals (8 samples per year). A list of affected European significant sites designated for monitoring, including the specification of protection objects, the location of monitoring profiles, and the physical-chemical parameters and biological component designated for monitoring is provided in Annex 5 of the procurement documentation. The indicative location of the profiles is provided in Annex 6 of the procurement documentation. In the field, measurements of water temperature, concentration and saturation of water with oxygen, electrical conductivity, pH, water transparency, and distribution of zooplankton by size fraction will be conducted. The analysis of the collected samples will include determination of: BOD5, COD4,5, Ca, Mg, chlorides, sulfates, suspended solids, total phosphorus, P-PO4, total nitrogen, N-NO3, N-NO2, N-NH4, free ammonia, and further analysis of zooplankton (biomass, species composition, relative abundance). The specific parameters to be monitored at a specific site (set of monitored parameters) are listed in Annex 5 of the procurement documentation. Sample collection and processing will be carried out according to the applicable standards for the collection and processing of hydrochemical samples and zooplankton, as well as the methodological procedures specified in Annex 7 of the procurement documentation. The minimum detection limits required for the analysis of individual physical-chemical parameters are indicated in Annex 8 of the procurement documentation. The requirements for the structure of data submitted for hydrochemical monitoring are included in Annex 9 of the procurement documentation. Sample collection and their transportation to the laboratory will be provided by the contractor.
