The objective of this contract is to acquire sequencers suitable for various needs in genomic research, enabling a significant improvement in the capacity, precision, and efficiency of our analyses. The required equipment must offer an optimal balance between technical performance and long-term operational costs.
These devices are essential to optimize our research projects, meeting the specific needs of each type of genetic analysis. Thus, as part of strengthening its genomic sequencing capacities, the GIGA Genomics platform aims to acquire several next-generation sequencers, divided into three distinct lots. These new acquisitions should enable the platform to meet different time, throughput, and cost constraints related to upcoming NGS (Next Generation Sequencing) projects for DNA, RNA, and Single Cell sequencing. Major whole-genome sequencing projects are planned, as well as a series of already funded projects awaiting sequencing (genome, transcriptome, exome, and Single Cell sequencing).
