Description:
2022-295-2 Landstromprojekt - Schiffsanschlusssystem

The AG is planning the construction of four medium-voltage shore power systems for seagoing vessels in accordance with the IEC/IEEE 80005-1 standard in the Bremen overseas port area of the city of Bremerhaven for the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen in the Port Special Fund. On the basis of the functional service description, the AN plans, builds, supplies and installs ship connection systems at its own locations and puts them into operation. Here: Lot 2a Two connection systems for container ships at the stromkaje, Lot 2b – a connection system for cruise ships at the Columbus quay, Lot 2c – a connection system for RoRo ships in the north port.

Schiffsanschlusssystem - Stromkaje

On the basis of the functional service description, the Contractor plans, builds, supplies and installs one or more ship connection systems in accordance with the IEC/IEEE 80005-1 standard for medium-voltage shore power for seagoing vessels. Commissioning takes place in cooperation with the supplier of the converter line, on the one hand "for itself" (i.e. without ship) and "complete" (i.e. with a connected ship that must be supplied under full load for a longer period of time).

1. Lot 2a: Two pieces of ship connection systems for container ships.

A connection system of approx. 400m length is created in the MSC terminal area.

A connection system of approx. 350m length is created in the NTB terminal area.

The connection systems are to be made of a sheet steel housing with internal cable drag

which is mounted on the quay edge in front of the bollards. On this box, a plug-in vehicle should be able to move electrically. Among other things, two shore power plugs are installed on the plug-in vehicle, into which the connection cables lowered by the container ships are plugged. The electrical feeding of the systems takes place in terminal boxes, which are arranged in the shaft chamber below. The different structural shape of the quay edge of the quay areas MSC and NTB requires different substructures, or special steel construction as a substructure in the MSC area. The mechanical protection of the connection systems must be ensured by further scopes (e.g. solid scraper boards with corresponding substructure), which the Contractor must also design, deliver and assemble. The connection systems have to be designed modularly, so that the effort in the event of repair remains within an economically and temporally reasonable framework.

Schiffsanschlusssytem - Columbuskaje

On the basis of the functional service description, the Contractor plans, builds, supplies and installs one or more ship connection systems in accordance with the IEC/IEEE 80005-1 standard for medium-voltage shore power for seagoing vessels. Commissioning takes place in cooperation with the supplier of the converter line, on the one hand "for itself" (i.e. without ship) and "complete" (i.e. with a connected ship that must be supplied under full load for a longer period of time).

2. Lot 2b: A ship connection system for cruise ships.

A cable-towed concrete duct with steel hinged lids of approx. 300m in length will be installed in the Columbus quay. The concrete channel is not part of lot 2b. A cable drag is installed in this duct, which can be moved by a vehicle also located in the duct. The electrical feed of the cable drag is carried out by a terminal box. Medium-voltage plugs are installed on the canal vehicle, which protrude from the hinged lid channel and which must be protected against weather and flooding. In addition, a cable transfer vehicle must be supplied, which is electrically connected to the duct vehicle by plug and also mechanically connected. The cable transfer vehicle must be able to drive independently or alternatively be moved with a towing vehicle. The vehicle hands over the shore power cables to the cruise ship. The position of the shore power hatches varies depending on the ship, the vehicle must be able to compensate for these different positions, and automatic tidal compensation must also be provided.

Schiffsanschlusssytem - Automobil Terminal

On the basis of the functional service description, the Contractor plans, builds, supplies and installs one or more ship connection systems in accordance with the IEC/IEEE 80005-1 standard for medium-voltage shore power for seagoing vessels. Commissioning takes place in cooperation with the supplier of the converter line, on the one hand "for itself" (i.e. without ship) and "complete" (i.e. with a connected ship that must be supplied under full load for a longer period of time).

3. Lot 2c: A ship connection system for RoRo vessels (autocarriers).

A cable towing system of approx. 100m in length is attached to the side of the east quay of the North Harbour. A vehicle connected to the cable drag can be driven electrically in any position. The electrical feed of the cable drag is carried out by a terminal box. A medium-voltage plug is installed on the vehicle, which must be protected from the weather. In addition, a cable transfer vehicle must be supplied, which is electrically connected to the cable drag plug. The cable transfer vehicle must be able to drive independently. The vehicle transfers the shore power cable to the RoRo vessel. The position of the shore power hatches varies depending on the ship, and the vehicle must be able to compensate for these different positions.

The above-mentioned ship connection systems must have CO2-free drives, e.g. be driven by an electric motor. Drives with environmentally hazardous operating fluids (such as hydraulic drives) must be avoided.
