The subject of the public contract is the supply, implementation, integration, commissioning, and provision of support for software solutions based on artificial intelligence intended to support clinical decision-making at the University Hospital St. Anne in Brno.
The fulfillment of the public contract is designed as the provision of software in the form of a cloud solution (SaaS).
The supplier will provide software operated in a cloud infrastructure, whereby:
- installation of a full-fledged on-premise solution is not required,
- data processing and storage will take place within the EU/EEA unless the contracting authority explicitly approves another regime in writing while simultaneously meeting all legal and security conditions,
- integration into the contracting authority’s systems (PACS, NIS) will be ensured through standard interfaces.
The scope of performance therefore includes:
- a time-limited usage right (license/subscription) for the duration of the contract,
- ensuring operation, availability, updates, and technical support within the service.
The performance particularly includes:
• delivery of medical devices in the form of software meeting the requirements of MDR (EU) 2017/745,
• their integration into the contracting authority's information systems (PACS, NIS),
• commissioning into full operation,
• provision of servicing, technical support, and updates for the duration of the contract.
The supplier will be insured for the entire duration of the contract against liability for damage caused in connection with the contract performance, with a minimum insurance coverage limit of CZK 5,000,000 per insurance event for each part of the public contract.
The public contract (PC) is divided into 2 separate parts:
Part 1 PC - AI Software for prostate cancer screening using artificial intelligence algorithms
Part 2 PC - Software using artificial intelligence algorithms for chest X-ray diagnostics
LOT-0001
Part 1 PC - AI Software for prostate cancer screening using artificial intelligence algorithms.
The subject of this part of the public contract is the supply, implementation, integration, and support of an artificial intelligence-based software solution intended to support clinical decision-making in the evaluation of prostate magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
The offered software must be a medical device within the meaning of Article 2(1) of Regulation (EU) 2017/745 of the European Parliament and of the Council on medical devices (MDR) and must be duly placed on the market in the European Union.
The system must be intended as a clinical decision-support tool for the detection, localization, and assessment of lesions suspected of clinically significant prostate cancer.
The aim of implementing the system is mainly to:
• improve the quality and standardization of prostate MRI evaluation,
• support early detection of clinically significant findings,
• reduce variability among evaluators,
• streamline the workflow of the radiology department,
• support multidisciplinary cooperation (radiology – urology).
The system must not serve as a substitute for clinical decision-making by a physician; the final diagnostic decision is always made by an authorized healthcare professional.
LOT-0006
Part 2 PC - Software using artificial intelligence algorithms for chest X-ray diagnostics.
The subject of this part of the public contract is the supply, implementation, integration, and operation of an artificial intelligence-based software solution intended to support clinical decision-making in the evaluation of chest X-ray (CXR) images.
The offered software must be a medical device within the meaning of Article 2(1) of Regulation (EU) 2017/745 (MDR) and must be duly placed on the market in the European Union.
The system is intended as a clinical decision-support tool for the detection and evaluation of pathological findings on chest X-rays.
The system will be operated primarily in the department of Imaging Methods and Emergency Admission at University Hospital St. Anne in Brno and possibly at other workplaces of the contracting authority.
The final clinical decision is always made by a healthcare professional.
