In Primaria Municipiului Zalau's traffic management procurement, the explicit aim of reducing greenhouse gas emissions sits alongside road safety, public transport integration and parking management.

Against that backdrop, Satu Mare's emphasis on public transport attractiveness, safety and optimised traffic fits a wider pattern in which traffic management systems, bus infrastructure and street design are treated as interlocking tools for delivering safer, more efficient and, in some cases, lower-emission urban mobility.

Keeping smart traffic systems working

The investment wave in intelligent transport systems is also prompting buyers to think about long-term operation and upkeep.
